Sanjiv Anand, Chairman, Cedar Management Consulting International

Sanjiv has over 30 years of management consulting experience across the globe. He started his career in the US, where for over 7 years he developed strategy for various US markets. Subsequently he set up offices across Asian, European, and Gulf markets. He has assisted the boards and CEOs of leading banks develop and execute business strategy including complete transformations and mergers of multiple banks. Clients include American Express, Deutsche Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, ENBD, NBAD to name a few. He is an international expert on the Balanced Scorecard having executed over 300 scorecards globally for companies and is also known for driving over $3 billion worth of foreign direct investments into Asia.

Sanjiv is well-published and is a regular keynote speaker at global conferences and events. He is also the author of “Unlocking Human Capital to Drive Performance: A CEO Handbook” published by McGraw Hill. His latest title “Execution Excellence – Making Strategy Work Using the Balanced Scorecard” was globally released by J.Wiley and is a bestseller in its genre. Sanjiv has a MBA from NYU Stern and AMP from Harvard Business School.

V Ramkumar, Senior Partner, IBS Intelligence

Ram has over 20 years of experience in assisting global financial services clients with business strategy formulation and transformation engagements in areas of organisational, process and technology transformation.

He has helped several clients in formulating their business-aligned IT strategy, subsequently assisting with the selection and program management of technology consulting mandates globally. More specifically, Ram works with leading banks in the selection and implementation of their core banking and other critical technologies, and oversees implementations by leading vendors globally. Ram has also been responsible for over 5 large banking integration exercises and also has directed multi-country roll-outs of large technology applications, coordinating across business, technical and organisational functions.

Ram is a regular speaker at industry events and his articles are periodically published. He has executed over 20 large core banking transformations across the globe and is known to be a thought-leader in the space. Ram completed his Masters at Birla Institute of Technology & Science, India, and has participated in a variety of executive education programs at INSEAD and Harvard Business School.

Amit Jain, Partner and Co-head

Amit spends his time with clients in Europe and globally in seeing how IBSI’s knowledge portfolio in different forms can add value to their growth story. He also leads various strategic initiatives at IBS globally including the CedarIBSI fintech lab proposition.

Amit has over 15 years of management consulting experience in the areas of market/opportunity assessment, strategy formulation and implementation, Balanced Scorecard design and due-diligence across industries & geographies. He works closely with leading global technology suppliers, fintechs, banks and consulting firms in addressing their global fintech research needs. He plays an active role in IBSI’s global growth & expansion and also leads and manages a team of specialists globally.

Amit has a strong understanding of the financial services & fintech sector having worked closely with leading technology suppliers in assessing opportunity and formulating their growth strategy. Some of the clients he works with regularly include Temenos, Oracle, Finastra, Infosys, TCS, Sopra, ERI, Avaloq, ezbob, i-exceed, Fidor, Jack Henry, Fiserv, among several others. Amit holds an MBA from S.P. Jain. He also has completed executive education programs at London Business School & Harvard Business School and a Six Sigma certified Green Belt.

Steven Taelman, Director – UK & EU Markets

Steven is focused on leading IBSI’s efforts in the UK and EU region, with a strong focus on making clients in the region smarter via IBSI’s research, tools, and advisory services.

He comes with over 20 years of client-partnering and account & relationship management experience in roles covering the UK, Benelux, and global markets. Some of his past experience includes work with a variety of multinational and blue-chip organizations in the financial services, IT services and semiconductors industries. Some of his prior firms include Gartner, HFS Research, Nelson Hall, and Aite Group.

Tim Willmott, Head – Global Media Sales

Tim works with marketing and communication c-suites of global IBS Intelligence clients on helping them market to their target audiences via using IBSI’s global advertising channels and platforms.

Tim has nearly a decade of experience in publishing and content marketing sales, primarily in financial services. Prior to IBSI, he worked with Euromoney’s Global Investor and IJ Global businesses, where he was responsible for developing and selling print/digital advertising, thought leadership, event sponsorship and custom products.

Tim has a Biochemistry BSC from the University of Bristol, and is IBSI’s in-house expert cricketer.

Amit Jain, Chief Marketing Officer, Global Markets

Amit spends his time focusing on developing innovative digital and off-line marketing strategies to build a strong brand presence and also as a growth driver to engage successfully with potential clients.

Amit has over 17 years of experience as a marketing and creative professional in the IT and Media sectors. In the early years of his career, as a creative professional, he helmed various responsibilities while working with broadcasters and studios where he not only worked as an Editor but also produced and directed award-winning shows in different genres. In his stints with the IT industry, he has led various global marketing and communication initiatives that includes Go-to-market positioning, Content Strategies, Brand Management, New Product Launches, Digital Marketing, Events, Account Based Marketing Programs, Pursuits and Partner Alliances.

Amit in his multiple roles over the years have launched and designed new initiatives including employer branding programs, premise branding across global locations and rebranding of corporate brand identities.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours degree from Delhi University and has done Post Graduation in Film & Television Studies.

Steve Rasin, Senior Director, US Markets

Steve has worked as a consultant since 1988 from bases in Hong Kong, Singapore, London, and now Washington DC, as a global strategy design and market-entry expert. He has worked across a range of industries including consumer goods, electronics, chemicals, textiles, automotive, telecommunications, real estate and new media. In addition to this, he also closely works with regional companies, particularly in the Middle East, with expansion into new regional and global markets. His global clients include Caterpillar, Bristol Myers Squibb, Sara Lee, DuPont, Emerson Electric and Whirlpool.

Steve is also IBSI’s in-house China specialist, having assisted major US and international corporations enter the Chinese market. Steve is fluent in Mandarin.

Sahil Anand, Director and Co-head

Sahil spends his time working with private equity, venture capital, and other investment firms globally to see how IBSI’s fintech knowledge base can be leveraged to make smart investing decisions. Especially in areas around due-diligence support. He also is a regular contributor to the iconic IBSi FinTech Journal and website where he writes about market trends and investments on different platforms. Sahil also plays an active role in leading up key strategic initiatives for IBSI and the group globally.

His past assignments include private-equity investment experience at Everstone Capital, where he actively participated in the fund’s investment and roll-out of the Burger King brand in India, Venture-Capital experience with DSG Capital across Asia, and time with BNP Paribas in their Merchant Banking group in New York City. His deep F&B, retail, tech and consumer investing experience makes him an expert on the topic.

Sahil has an MBA from London Business School, and a BS in Finance from NYU Stern. He is the Chapter Chair for YNG (Young Presidents Organization) and also serves actively as a NYU Stern Alumni Association Committee Member.

James Hanbury, Senior Advisor, Founder at Incisive Media

James is an entrepreneur and energetic business leader who co-founded Incisive Media in 1995 with 13 people and £275k of capital and built a business that had revenues of over £250 million and 2500 staff in under 13 years. After floating the entity on the LSE, he then completed a £275 million MBO backed by Apax in 2006. James specializes in strategic direction of management teams in London, North America and Asia, improving efficiency and change management experiences in digital media. He has a solid track record of creating exits for businesses, integrating acquired businesses, driving revenue growth and margin improvement, innovation and new product development.

James is an experienced Board Director of both public and private companies and a proactive private investor. He sits on the Advisory Board to FIG Ltd, a former NED with Cavendish Group, and is an investor in FIG, Stylemania, Red Savannah, Mujo, The Tab, Resource Guru and Cicero Consulting amongst others.

Robin Amlot, Managing Editor, IBS Intelligence

Robin leads the iconic IBSi FinTech Journal publication globally and also provides leadership to the editorial team globally. He also drives initiatives around events, alliances, and other strategic areas for the publication.

Robin has more than 30 years of experience as a financial and business journalist and has worked across all media forms, including print, online, broadcast, radio and TV, as a thought-leader, presenter, producer and guest. This experience is global with a significant portion of it across European and Middle East markets. He has deep experience in a variety of editorial roles, most recently with International Accounting Bulletin, Banker Middle East and Islamic Business & Finance. Some of Robin’s key achievements include being the Managing Editor of a UK personal finance website, authoring a national newspaper column on the online finance sector for a number of years, creating award-winning TV programs about business and finance for Sky News, and being the Financial Editor of Independent Radio News in the UK

He is also an experienced host of conferences, seminars and round-tables and has created successful events in several different countries in a variety of formats. Robin also writes and contributes to a number of books and pamphlets, including a guide to world financial markets, a study of corporate pensions, four books on various aspects of Islamic finance, guides to investment and financial regulation, and several macro/microeconomics studies.

He has a BA in International Politics from the University of Lancaster and is also qualified as a Financial Adviser, holding the Certificate in Financial Planning.

Pankaj Chawla, Director – Research Platforms

Pankaj leads IBSI’s team of expert researchers globally with a special focus on providing fresh, insightful, data-driven primary and secondary fintech knowledge to clients and readers.

Pankaj comes with over 15 years of global market research strategy experience via his time at IDC and Feedback Business Consulting Services. His experience involves brainstorming and executing a variety of B2B market research projects in global markets with a strong focus on frameworks, data, and primary information. Pankaj also has interests on new industry segments such as Digital Textiles, Additive Manufacturing, Industry 4.0, and the implementation of IoT & Blockchain in manufacturing where he has led significant efforts.

Pankaj has served in the Government of India via the Ministry of Corporate Affairs and Ministry of Information Technology. He has an MBA from Uttar Pradesh Technical University and has a Bachelor of Engineering degree.
