SDK.finance, a provider of software infrastructure for FinTech and payment products, has launched SDK.finance General Ledger, a standalone real-time accounting module designed for banks, electronic money institutions (EMIs), payment service providers (PSPs) and fintech companies.

The new solution is designed to address the growing complexity of financial operations, where transaction processing, balance management and accounting functions are often spread across multiple systems. This can lead to delayed visibility, reconciliation challenges and inconsistencies between operational and financial records.

SDK.finance General Ledger acts as an additional accounting layer that can be integrated with existing banking and payment infrastructure without requiring organisations to replace their core systems.

Alex Malyshev, CEO of SDK.finance, said, “Financial businesses need to know not only that money moved, but also how every event affected every relevant account, immediately and with a complete audit trail. We built SDK.finance General Ledger as a standalone accounting layer that can work with the infrastructure a company already has.”

The module consumes business events from sources such as core banking platforms, payment systems, digital wallets and transaction engines, automatically converting them into balanced double-entry journal entries.

The company said the solution provides financial institutions with a real-time and auditable system of record while allowing them to retain their existing transaction infrastructure and technology architecture.

He added that the solution is intended to help finance and technology teams maintain a single source of financial truth while preserving flexibility over future development and system architecture.

The launch reflects growing demand among banks, fintechs and payment providers for real-time accounting capabilities that can support increasingly complex products, multiple payment rails and multi-currency operations.
