Why it matters: As digital investment platforms attract more customers and process higher transaction volumes, operational efficiency and financial control have become key priorities. Automated reconciliation solutions help firms reduce manual workloads, improve data accuracy and enhance regulatory compliance while supporting growth.

AutoRek, a provider of enterprise financial controls and reconciliation automation solutions, has been selected by two UK digital investment platforms to automate reconciliation processes, strengthen financial controls and support operational resilience as transaction volumes continue to grow.

Together, the two platforms serve more than 3.3 million customers and manage over £140 billion in client and platform assets, highlighting the increasing operational demands facing digital investment providers amid rising investor participation and trading activity.

As digital investment businesses scale, firms are under growing pressure to manage large volumes of data and transactions while maintaining accurate records, strong governance and efficient operations. Manual reconciliation processes can create operational bottlenecks, making it more challenging for organisations to expand without significantly increasing resources.

AutoRek’s platform automates reconciliation, exception management and financial controls through AutoRek ARIA, its intelligence engine designed to help teams identify likely matches, detect anomalies and prioritise investigations. The technology aims to reduce manual workloads while maintaining human oversight, review and approval throughout the reconciliation process.

Martyn Ward, CRO at AutoRek, said, “Digital investment platforms are operating at a scale where manual processes can quickly become a constraint on growth, while the need for robust financial controls only increases as volumes rise. These customer wins demonstrate the growing demand for reconciliation technology that can handle scale while giving firms greater control, transparency and operational resilience. By automating processes that have traditionally relied heavily on manual intervention, firms can build a stronger operational foundation as their businesses continue to grow.”

The customer wins reflect a broader trend within the UK digital investment sector, where firms are seeking to improve the scalability and resilience of their operating models amid increasing transaction volumes and operational complexity.

AutoRek said its technology provides automated matching, break management and configurable financial controls designed to help organisations manage growing workloads more effectively while maintaining compliance and governance standards.

The new client engagements further strengthen AutoRek’s presence in the financial services sector, where the company works with banks, asset managers, FinTechs and investment platforms to automate critical reconciliation and financial control processes.
