Jameel Finance Egypt adopts Intellect’s AI-powered lending platform
By Divya Shah
Why it matters: The implementation highlights the growing adoption of AI-driven and low-code lending platforms among financial institutions seeking to digitise the entire credit lifecycle. By integrating origination, servicing, collections and BNPL capabilities into a single platform, Jameel Finance Egypt can accelerate loan processing, improve risk management and enhance customer experiences.
Jameel Finance Egypt, a non-banking financial institution, has completed a digital transformation programme with Intellect Design Arena, deploying the company’s AI-first eMACH.ai Lending Platform to modernise its lending operations and enhance customer experiences.
The implementation was undertaken to address existing technological and operational challenges while aligning with applicable governance, risk management and regulatory requirements. The new platform encompasses Loan Origination System (LOS), Loan Management System (LMS), Loan Collections and Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) capabilities, providing a unified framework for managing the lending lifecycle.
The platform is designed to accelerate credit decision-making processes through approved credit policies, scoring models and risk assessment procedures, helping Jameel Finance improve customer acquisition and processing efficiency.
Siraj Badqail, CEO & Managing Director of Jameel Finance Egypt, said, “The platform delivers a modern lending experience across use cases, from faster origination to faster and accurate portfolio visibility and overall control. Intellect’s eMACH.ai architecture and commitment to innovation has supported our vision of offering a differentiated and digitally enabled lending experience.”
Using Intellect’s low-code architecture, Jameel Finance can now launch field-ready digital journeys across mobile devices, tablets and laptops, enabling field agents to access lending workflows more efficiently.
The solution also delivers real-time integration between core lending components, including LOS, LMS, General Ledger systems, business rule engines and iScore, Egypt’s credit bureau. This enables a more consistent flow of customer and operational data across the lending ecosystem.
In addition, the project included several customised capabilities, such as BNPL-specific allocation logic, omnichannel collections integration, advanced delegation workflows, Innovia Dialler integration and a legal data management framework with validation controls.
The modernised architecture separates the General Ledger into a microservices-based environment while enhancing payment processing capabilities to support both customer-level and loan-level transactions, providing greater operational flexibility and scalability.
Rajesh Saxena, CEO of Intellect Consumer Banking, said, “This next-generation loan platform by Intellect has been empowering banks and NBFCs globally and in Egypt to launch products faster, manage the end-to-end loan lifecycle seamlessly, and gain complete visibility of their portfolio.”
The deployment supports Jameel Finance Egypt’s broader digital transformation strategy as it seeks to improve lending efficiency, enhance customer engagement and strengthen operational oversight across its business.
