FinTechs, like any other company, are now embracing social media to tell their stories, engage with their consumers, and leverage influence. Additionally, the data and insights collected from social media platforms, in this case, tweets, can help FinTech companies analyse consumer behaviour and preferences, the most critical factor in present times.

Financial institutions have also begun to recognise the opportunities provided by social media in catering to the present generation. With the ever-evolving digital landscape, it has become imperative for banks to offer services that cater to the changing channels of interaction, especially social media.

At the beginning of this week, IBS Intelligence shared 3 FinTech tweets; On that note, here are 5 tweets that Financial Technology enthusiasts should see:

Today, we’re introducing PayPal Pay Monthly, issued by WebBank, which gives U.S. customers the ability to split the cost of purchases from $199-$10,000 into monthly payments over a 6–24-month period.

IBS Intelligence reported PayPal announced PayPal Pay Monthly, its newest buy now, pay later offering, issued by WebBank, which allows U.S. consumers to spread payments out over longer periods. With the addition of Pay Monthly, customers will have access to a new offering through PayPal that gives them greater flexibility and even more choices to pay for the items they want and need.

From today, we are offering payment services to refugees from Ukraine, providing them access to additional currencies and savings mechanisms.

Verizon partners with Mastercard and FNBO to launch small business credit card.

Today, IBS Intelligence reported that Verizon Business announced that it is teaming up with Mastercard and First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO) to launch a credit card designed to bring value to small business owners. In the coming weeks, existing Verizon Business wireless customers with less than 100 lines and an online account will be eligible to apply for the Verizon Business Mastercard, which rewards purchases on everyday business expenses, such as eligible office supplies, technology, fuel, and more.

IBS Intelligence also reported that Logistics payments and data infrastructure platform PayCargo has announced a new investment of up to $130 million from funds managed by Blackstone Growth (BXG). BXG’s investment will support the company’s continued expansion both domestically and internationally, development of new products, as well as potential growth opportunities through M&A.
