Here’s to the coolest in FinTech!
Recognising and celebrating the best in FinTech!
2025 Numbers - 600+ submissions from 150+ financial institutions and technology providers across 50+ countries
Eight years ago, IBS Intelligence set out to find the projects actually moving banking forward - not just the ones with the biggest marketing budgets. That mission hasn't changed, but the field has grown up around it. Last year alone, over 600 institutions and technology providers from 50+ countries put their work forward, making GFIA one of the largest independent recognitions of its kind in financial technology.
This year, the competition gets tighter. The judging is sharper, the bar is higher, and the spotlight is bigger - because the industry itself keeps raising the stakes on what counts as genuine innovation.
Last cycle brought the highest volume of strong entries yet, with submissions pouring in from every corner of the globe and every part of the banking value chain. Innovation showed up everywhere - in how institutions serve customers, manage risk, and run their operations more efficiently.
We also saw new kinds of players stepping up: newer, digitally native institutions putting their work forward alongside established names, and fresh momentum in segments that hadn't been as visible in previous years.
If your team shipped something that mattered this year - to customers, to the business, to the industry - this is where that work gets its due.
I am honored and happy to accept GFIA award on behalf of MCB. It's a real pleasure to be amongst what IBS Intelligence calls the coolest in FinTech. This award means that MCB made the right move and we need to always stay ahead of the innovation game, not only for us but first and foremost for our customers.

The GFIA is an excellent initiative by IBS Intelligence. It has been instrumental in making Nucleus Software visible in the technology ecosystem and giving our work the desired visibility. It is imperative to recognize the excellent work by the financial institutions, banks, and technology providers because financial implementations are overly complex, and a lot of hard work is expected from either implementor.
- Parag Bhise – CEO, Nucleus Software
We are thrilled to have won the award for the best Core Banking Implementation & Best Adoption of Tools and Practices with Allica Bank. Thank you so much IBSi for running an awards program like GFIA and recognizing our work!
- Nelson Wootton - CEO, SaaScada

In the event the name of the bank cannot be shared, you are required to provide the profile of the bank, for example, the tier of the bank, geography where it is located, size of the bank in terms of asset size, no. of branches or anything else you can share about the bank, without actually naming the bank. There also needs to be some artefacts that must be shared in a separate email to us at nikhilg@ibsintelligence.net, to substantiate your claims.
