Jack Henry was selected by MCBANK to provide core banking technology as the Louisiana-based community bank has advanced its long-term growth strategy and expanded its commercial banking capabilities across the US Gulf South.

Jonathan Baltzell, President of Bank Solutions, Jack Henry, said: “MCBANK has assembled a leadership team with a proven track record of changing the expectations of banking in their region.”

The partnership has followed MCBANK’s recapitalisation earlier this year after the merger of its holding company, MC Bancshares, with DMMS Purchaser, an investor group led by former IBERIABANK executives. Backed by more than $225 million in new capital, the bank has been pursuing a strategy focused on organic growth and strategic acquisitions.

Under the agreement, MCBANK has adopted Jack Henry’s core processing platform alongside a suite of banking technology solutions. These include the Banno Digital Platform for retail and commercial digital banking, treasury management solutions for business clients, and Jack Henry Managed Secure Cloud to strengthen managed IT and cybersecurity capabilities.

The technology deployment was designed to help the bank modernise its operations while supporting future growth and enhancing digital banking services for both retail and commercial customers.

Daryl Byrd, Chief Executive Officer, MC Bancshares, said: “Our technology plan is crucial to success, and our leadership has the experience working with Jack Henry to know that they are the right choice.”

The partnership is expected to strengthen MCBANK’s technology infrastructure as the bank expands its commercial banking operations and digital services across the Gulf South.
