A leading Sharjah-based bank has partnered with Intellect Design Arena to modernise its corporate banking operations through a composable, AI-first transaction banking platform, supporting its strategy to strengthen digital services and accelerate corporate banking growth.

Manish Maakan, Group Chief Revenue Officer and Chief Executive Officer – Wholesale Banking at Intellect Design Arena Ltd., said: “This partnership reflects a fundamental shift in how banks are reimagining corporate banking for the next decade. Today’s leading financial institutions are moving beyond digitising existing processes to building intelligent, composable platforms that continuously adapt to evolving customer expectations and business opportunities.”

The strategic partnership was signed to replace product-centric legacy systems with a unified transaction banking platform built on Intellect’s microservices-based eMACH.ai architecture. The transformation has been designed to enhance agility, scalability and customer experience while supporting the bank’s long-term digital strategy.

Under the agreement, Intellect’s front-to-back transaction banking framework was deployed to support end-to-end digital onboarding, cash management, virtual account management (VAM), collections and liquidity management. The platform was built to streamline corporate banking operations while enabling the bank to respond more quickly to changing customer requirements and market opportunities.

The implementation has also been positioned to strengthen the bank’s ability to capture sustainable liabilities and support year-on-year growth across its corporate banking portfolio. A seamless digital experience for corporate customers has been targeted, while operational efficiency and service delivery have been enhanced through a unified banking infrastructure.

The initiative has reflected the growing demand among financial institutions for composable banking platforms that simplify technology integration and support continuous innovation across transaction banking.

The transformation has reinforced the bank’s ambition to become an innovation-led financial institution while supporting the UAE’s evolving corporate banking ecosystem.
