Saudi e-commerce platform Salla has acquired Paylink, a Saudi FinTech licensed by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) to provide e-commerce payment services, as part of its strategy to expand its merchant ecosystem with integrated financial services.

The acquisition brings Paylink’s payment infrastructure into Salla’s platform, enabling the company to offer merchants a more unified payments experience across digital and physical sales channels.

By integrating Paylink’s capabilities, Salla aims to streamline how merchants accept and manage payments. The combined offering will support online transactions, point-of-sale (POS) payments and future smart POS solutions, including SoftPOS functionality.

Merchants will also be able to access multiple payment methods, multi-currency support and tools for international sales.

The acquisition marks a step beyond shopfront creation and commerce operations, positioning the company to deliver regulated financial services directly within its platform.

Nawaf Hariri, founder and CEO of Salla, said, “Financial services are a natural extension of this vision.” He added that the deal would help the company develop more integrated payment solutions for merchants serving customers both within Saudi Arabia and internationally.

Paylink, which holds the Saudi Tech designation, brings regulatory approval and payments infrastructure that strengthens Salla’s position in the Kingdom’s digital commerce ecosystem.

Salla said it currently serves more than 65,000 active subscriber stores, with merchants generating total sales volumes exceeding $12 billion through the platform.

The acquisition reflects the growing convergence of e-commerce and FinTech in Saudi Arabia, as platform providers increasingly embed payments and financial services into their merchant offerings to create more integrated commerce ecosystems.
