Navi has announced a proposed $100 million investment from Prosus, marking the Indian FinTech’s first institutional capital raise and supporting its expansion across payments and lending.

The transaction has remained subject to customary closing conditions and applicable regulatory approvals, including approval from the Competition Commission of India (CCI).

Sachin Bansal, Founder and Executive Chairman, Navi Group, said: “Their investment is a strong endorsement of the institution we’re building at Navi.” He has also highlighted Prosus’ “global perspective, long-term orientation and experience in scaling technology businesses”.

Navi has said the investment has marked a milestone in its plans to build a technology-driven financial services institution in India. Prosus has backed the investment as part of its broader strategy of supporting technology platforms in the country.

Ashutosh Sharma, Head of Prosus India Investments and M&A, said: “We are excited about our partnership with Navi,” adding that the company has demonstrated “a technology-first approach to problem solving” and a strong focus on consumer experience.

Navi has reported operating momentum across its businesses during FY26. Navi UPI has retained its position as India’s fourth-largest UPI application, while Navi Finserv has expanded its lending franchise, with assets under management crossing $1.36 billion.

The group has also reported consolidated profitability in Q4FY26, supported by improving economics and increasing operating leverage. The proposed investment has therefore provided Navi with additional institutional backing as it has continued scaling its digital financial services operations.

The transaction has remained subject to regulatory approval, with completion dependent on the fulfilment of the applicable closing conditions.
