Omnia Exchange, the institutional liquidity and execution infrastructure business powered by LMAX Group, has partnered with payments platform Monavate to support digital asset payment and settlement services for businesses operating across global markets.

The partnership has enabled Monavate to access LMAX Group’s institutional liquidity and execution infrastructure through Omnia’s single API connectivity layer. The companies have said this can help streamline backend payment operations and settlement processes as businesses have sought more flexible ways to move and settle funds.

Michael Rolph, CEO of Monavate, has said the company has been working towards enabling businesses to issue, move and settle money globally while reducing reliance on legacy payment infrastructure.

Through the collaboration, Monavate has gained access to institutional liquidity across digital assets, stablecoins and fiat currencies. The companies have aimed to combine this infrastructure with Monavate’s payment capabilities to support more efficient execution and settlement.

Omnia has provided an infrastructure layer connecting payment providers with institutional liquidity and execution capabilities. The partnership has reflected growing efforts across the payments sector to integrate digital assets into payment and settlement workflows.

Oscar Vickerman, Head of Strategic Distribution at LMAX Group, has said payments have represented an important application for institutional digital asset infrastructure.

Monavate has operated as a regulated payments platform and was recently acquired by Exodus Movement. The company has provided payment services aimed at helping businesses manage money movement and issuance across markets.

The partnership has come as payment providers have explored ways to connect traditional fiat payment infrastructure with stablecoins and other digital assets. By integrating liquidity, execution and settlement through a single infrastructure layer, Omnia and Monavate have sought to reduce operational complexity for businesses using digital asset-enabled payment flows.
