FIS has expanded its Digital One Commercial platform across Asia-Pacific, completing its global rollout as banks in the region have faced growing pressure to consolidate fragmented business banking systems.

The expansion has extended the platform, already available across the US and EMEA, to banks serving businesses ranging from small enterprises to large corporates. Digital One Commercial has been designed to connect with existing core banking infrastructure rather than replace it.

The platform has supported real-time payments across multiple payment rails, including PayNow, GIRO, FAST and SWIFT/ISO. It has also included capabilities for trade finance and liquidity management across multiple entities, alongside APIs connecting banks with enterprise resource planning and accounting systems.

Peter Boyer, Co-President, Banking Solutions, FIS, has said the APAC commercial banking market has remained complex, with banks operating separate systems across individual countries. He has said the platform has aimed to help financial institutions unify operations and support business customers through a single system.

FIS has said banks operating across APAC have continued to manage separate systems for different customer segments and markets. The company has positioned Digital One Commercial as a way to bring these services onto a single platform while supporting local regulatory and technology requirements.

The platform has supported English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Bahasa Indonesia and Vietnamese, as well as multi-currency and multi-time-zone functionality.

FIS has said one APAC bank has already deployed the platform across 15 countries from a single instance. The implementation has supported around 350,000 business customers and more than one million end-users, according to the company.

The rollout has come as commercial banking technology investment has increased across the region. FIS has cited Celent data showing corporate banking technology spending in APAC rose 5.5% in 2025 and a further 6.2% in 2026.
