Tabby, BNPL, Network International, Digital Payments, FinTech, UAE, MEANetwork International is collaborating with buy now, pay later (BNPL) provider tabby to enable its UAE eCommerce merchants to offer consumers the option to split their purchases into four interest-free payments.

The agreement will enable eCommerce merchants in the UAE using Network’s N-Genius™ Online gateway to accept this popular method of payment. BNPL solutions give customers the option to easily split their purchases into interest-free payments, thus creating value for both customers and merchants.

In the wake of the pandemic when consumers turned to online buying for their needs, BNPL has emerged as an attractive, flexible payment option for consumers. Founded by Hosam Arab and Daniil Barkalov in late 2019, tabby is the Middle East’s first and largest BNPL provider.

Commenting on the partnership, Andrew Key, President – Merchants and Governments at Network International, said, “The digital payment landscape around the world is fast evolving and as the country’s largest payment solution provider, Network has always taken the lead in delivering solutions that enhance and expand our merchants’ offering to their consumers. Enabling BNPL will help ecommerce merchants provide a better checkout experience as well as increase conversions and expand their client base.

“We believe that newer digital payments such as BNPL will play a major role in shaping the future of digital payments, globally and in the UAE. We are happy to support tabby in the region, and through our partnership we look forward to creating new opportunities for our merchants, while opening significant growth opportunities to the UAE’s internet economy,” added Key.

As the UAE’s acquirer and enabler of digital commerce across the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region, Network International’s N-Genius Online™ payment gateway delivers advanced performance, security, and scalability and offers merchants and consumers a seamless and secure payment experience.

Hosam Arab, tabby CEO and Co-Founder, said, “We are delighted to be partnering with a regional powerhouse and payments leader such as Network International and together more seamlessly enabling e-commerce merchants to grow by giving their customers increased flexibility at checkout.”
