Muse Finance, the business finance start-up, has hired Tarek AbdelKader as its Chief Technology Officer. As part of its ongoing strategic plans to scale in 2022, AbdelKader joins the fold as a seasoned CTO with previous experience at financial firms, including The Co-Operative Bank and Think Money Group, plus software providers Blinx Solutions & Meta Software.
Most notably, AbdelKader was critical in facilitating technology improvements for The Co-operative Financial Services, amounting to savings of £1 million per annum across approximately 10,000 loan settlement applications. As a thought leader in the industry, AbdelKader has a proven track record of achieving results from a technology service delivery position with internal and external stakeholders. Tarek is coming at the right time to help Muse Finance scale.
At Muse Finance, AbdelKader will lead the migration to a fully serverless architecture model to give users more scalability and security. Elsewhere, he will oversee the integration of technologies for Web3 implementation on the backend ledger and the use of AI for Muse’s credit decisioning.
By integrating end-to-end customer Web and Mobile journey automations, Tarek will also help to provide digitised access to Muse products by fast-tracking customer finance applications and with a view to giving them access to funds within minutes vs days.
Tarek AbdelKader, CTO of Muse, said: “I’m looking forward to introducing cutting edge technology and changing how our existing FinTech processes and operations function. What Muse Finance is working on is truly exciting, and I’m looking forward to being a part of its continued growth.”
Ann Marie Juliano, Founder & CEO of Muse Finance, said: “We took a while to find the right fit to help us scale during this next phase for the business. Tarek, by far, was an obvious choice his background and ability to get stuck into coding is fantastic. We are excited to have Tarek on the team. He has already made a huge impact and will be instrumental in how we are able to service our clients in order to give them the stability and funds they need.”
