Fidelity Bank goes live with Alkami’s MANTL loan origination platform

Why it matters: The deployment highlights how banks are modernising consumer lending by unifying digital and branch channels, automating decisions and reducing manual processes.
Fidelity Bank has gone live with Alkami’s MANTL Loan Origination platform in less than three months after the project began, bringing consumer lending across its branch and digital channels into a single system.
The bank is now using the platform to originate personal and vehicle loans, providing borrowers with a more streamlined application experience while improving operational efficiency for employees.
The implementation expands Fidelity Bank’s existing relationship with Alkami, whose digital banking services the bank already uses. Fidelity selected MANTL Loan Origination as part of an effort to modernise consumer lending and replace siloed legacy systems.
“MANTL delivers a faster, more seamless lending experience while preserving the personalised service that defines Fidelity Bank. This investment strengthens both the client experience and our operational efficiency,” said Daniel J. Santaniello, president and chief executive officer of Fidelity Bank.
During its evaluation of a new loan origination system, the bank prioritised automation and operational efficiency, alongside the ability to offer customers a connected online borrowing experience for the first time.
MANTL brings underwriting, fraud prevention and credit decisioning into a unified lending process, allowing customers to apply through digital or in-person channels.
Ruth Turkington, executive vice president and chief banking officer at Fidelity Bank, said the unified approach would help the bank improve service while giving employees more time to focus on customers.
“Service equates to speed when delivering an exceptional client experience. By unifying our digital and in-person lending experience, we’re making it easier for clients to access financing while allowing our bankers to focus on building relationships,” Turkington said.
MANTL Loan Origination supports automated decisioning and straight-through processing, reducing manual work through configurable workflows, integrated identity verification and intelligent credit decisioning.
The platform is also intended to help branch teams spend less time entering data and more time building customer relationships. Meanwhile, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and underwriting teams can use the system to manage their work more efficiently, helping accelerate loan processing.
Benjamin Conant, chief product and technology officer at Alkami, said Fidelity Bank’s rapid implementation reflected growing demand among financial institutions to modernise consumer lending rather than continue relying on legacy systems.
He added that the deployment demonstrated how financial institutions could introduce modern lending technology within a relatively short timeframe while improving operational efficiency and providing borrowers with a digital experience that can help regional and community banks compete in a market increasingly shaped by digital-first expectations.
