Ebury promotes Victor Tuson Palau to CTO
By Joy Dumasia
Ebury, one of the largest FinTechs in Europe, is delighted to announce that Victor Tuson Palau has taken over as Chief Technology Officer of the business. Victor was previously SVP of Engineering within Ebury, and before that, he held the same position in Canonical, the publisher of Ubuntu. He will now join the leadership team and assume responsibility for Ebury’s innovative tech offering.
Victor leads a globally distributed and remote-first engineering team that enables customers to access Ebury’s services anytime and anywhere. He takes over from Toby Young, who moves to a Senior Advisor role for Ebury and Head of Open Market Technology Strategy at PagoNxt, an autonomous payments tech company within Santander. Victor will continue to focus on scaling Ebury’s platform, both in terms of the volume of payments and transactions and internationally as Ebury’s reach expands.
Victor Tuson Palau, CTO at Ebury, said: “I am delighted to be driving forward the next stage of Ebury’s technological development. “As one of Europe’s largest fintechs, it is crucial that our proposition is constantly evolving and improving while retaining its excellence. Moving up from within Ebury has helped me hit the ground running, and our team has made a great start in implementing an exciting pipeline of ideas.”
Juan Lobato, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Ebury, said: “It is great news that Victor has joined the leadership team at Ebury as CTO – I am looking forward to working with him and seeing his vision come to life over the coming years. Ebury is at an exciting stage of its growth journey as we continue to expand geographically and work closely with SMEs to support their international trade needs.”
IBS Intelligence reported that Ebury and Santander Germany are delighted to announce a new partnership to offer businesses in Germany a complete international finance solution to simplify international trade.
