Bitcoin Well announces appointment of Chief Financial Officer

Bitcoin Well Inc., a technology company, building and utilizing products that offer safe and easy ways to buy, sell and use bitcoin, recently announced the appointment of Mr. Allen D. Stephen, CPA, CA, MBA, as their Chief Financial Officer.
Stephen is a seasoned finance executive with extensive experience in banking and FinTech. For the past two years, Stephen was the Head of Finance at Neo Financial Technologies Inc., a high growth, FinTech start-up based in Calgary, Alberta. He led debt financing and venture capital fundraising and built the finance, credit risk, compliance, and legal teams. Prior to his role at Neo, Stephen was a senior leader at Canadian Western Bank, a publicly-traded company headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta. As the Vice President of Finance and Chief Accountant, his 12-year tenure at Canadian Western Bank included oversight of internal and external financial reporting, taxation, forecasting, regulatory compliance, acquisitions & divestitures, capital issuances, and investor relations.
In addition to his extensive banking and public company experience, Stephen has led finance teams in the utility industry. Stephen holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan, a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Regina. He is a member in good standing with the Chartered Professional Accountants of Alberta.

Stephen assumes the CFO position from Mr. Luke Thibodeau, who was Controller and served as the Interim Chief Financial Officer of Bitcoin Well. He will remain with Bitcoin Well in the role of Director of Finance.
