BaaS FinTech Griffin appoints Sameer Dubey as chief product officer

London-based Banking as a Service FinTech Griffin has hired Sameer Dubey as chief product officer (CPO) as the company enters a new phase of growth.
Dubey brings 15 years of experience across financial services, including traditional banking and start-ups, to the role. Before joining Griffin, Dubey was COO at crypto exchange Bitstamp. Prior to that, he was Head of German challenger N26. He was also Head of Payments Products (UK) at Barclays Corporate Bank.

The firm has also hired Fergus Speight as General Counsel, who practised law for over 25 years. Fergus brings a “wealth of experience in the financial services industry that will be indispensable as Griffin takes its BaaS platform to market,” the company said.

As General Counsel, Fergus will be responsible for scaling the company’s legal function, as the FinTech to become an authorised bank.
