Spice Money launches AI-powered financial assistant Ojas
By Divya Shah
Spice Money, a subsidiary of DiGiSPICE Technologies, has launched Ojas, a human-like Agentic AI Executive designed to help users complete financial transactions through natural voice and video interactions, reducing the complexity of navigating digital financial services.
Built on Spice Money’s proprietary ExeAI platform, Ojas combines conversational AI with transaction execution capabilities. Users can interact with a human-like AI persona through voice or video, explain their requirements in their preferred language, and receive assistance that extends beyond information retrieval to completing authorised actions.
Dilip Modi, Founder and CEO, Spice Money, said, “With Ojas, a user can see an AI executive, speak naturally in their own language and explain what they want, just as they would to another person. Ojas understands the intent, understands the transaction context and can execute the required action. We are moving from interfaces people have to learn to technology that learns how people naturally communicate.”
The platform is designed to understand user intent, access relevant transaction context, and execute approved actions across integrated financial systems. Potential use cases include pending transaction queries, KYC processes, settlements, bill payments, collections and other financial-service workflows.
Ojas supports multilingual interactions in nine Indian languages, enabling users to engage with financial services in their native language.
For Spice Money’s network of more than 1.6 million Adhikaris and merchants, many of whom serve customers in rural and semi-urban regions, the technology is aimed at simplifying interactions with financial applications and reducing the need for users to navigate multiple screens and processes.
The underlying ExeAI platform has already been tested across live financial systems, supporting more than 500,000 resolutions, over 20,000 autonomous actions and resolving around 50% of customer-centre volumes.
The development highlights the growing role of AI-powered automation in expanding access to financial services. By combining multilingual capabilities, conversational interfaces and transaction execution, firms are increasingly exploring new ways to make digital banking and payment services more accessible to underserved and digitally less experienced users.
Spice Money plans to deploy Ojas across its financial services ecosystem and subsequently offer the ExeAI platform to banks, payment providers, lenders, insurers and other financial institutions seeking to introduce AI-driven customer service and workflow automation capabilities.
