Wizz Financial unveils Wizz Financial app for cross-border payments and UPI
By Divya Shah
Wizz Financial has launched the Wizz Financial App at Global FinTech Fest (GFF) 2026, bringing together cross-border payments, remittances, foreign exchange, lending and digital payment services on a single platform.
The app provides customers with access to a broad range of financial services, including inward and outward remittances, foreign exchange transactions, multi-currency prepaid cards, lending products, bill payments, mobile recharges, and travel and visa-related services.
At the core of the platform is SWITCH, Wizz Financial’s proprietary interoperability infrastructure designed to connect the company’s financial applications across the US, UAE and India, while also enabling integration with third-party wallets and financial platforms.
The platform allows customers to move funds seamlessly across the Wizz Financial ecosystem and supports cross-border payouts to more than 80 countries through the company’s proprietary payout network. By linking multiple payment rails and digital wallets, SWITCH aims to simplify international money movement for consumers and businesses operating across markets.
“With SWITCH, we are bringing payments, wallets and cross-border money movement together across the US, UAE and India, so that residents, non-residents and international customers can all move money through the same trusted rails,” said Amir Nagammy, Founder & Group CEO, Wizz Financial.
A key FinTech feature of the offering is its integration with India’s UPI ecosystem. Eligible users can make real-time transfers into Indian UPI accounts through the app, while international visitors can access cashless payment capabilities in India through the UPI One World framework, subject to applicable regulatory guidelines.
The company’s digital transformation strategy combines its technology capabilities with its physical distribution network, which serves more than five million customers through over 360 branches across 22 states in India.
“Wizz Financial has built the trust of millions of customers in India through accessibility and service excellence. By combining our nationwide branch presence with our digital capabilities, we are giving customers a simpler and more convenient way to access and manage their financial needs,” said Krishnan R, Director & CEO, Wizz Financial India.
