Square Insurance appoints Kapil Baraya as Head of Corporate & Commercial Lines

Square Insurance Brokers Private Limited has appointed Kapil Baraya as Head of Department, Corporate & Commercial Lines.

In his new role, he will lead the company’s corporate and commercial insurance business while also overseeing its life insurance operations.

In his new position, Baraya will be responsible for leading the corporate and commercial lines business, managing key client relationships, driving business development initiatives and strengthening the team as Square Insurance continues to expand its presence in the sector.

Prior to joining Square Insurance, Baraya served as Executive Vice President at Marsh India Insurance Brokers, where he managed large corporate insurance mandates across sectors including pharmaceuticals, manufacturing and BFSI. He has also held leadership roles at Bharti AXA, TATA AIG and ICICI Lombard, gaining experience across underwriting, client servicing and insurance programme development.

Baraya brings more than 18 years of experience in the insurance industry, with expertise spanning corporate risk management, complex insurance programmes, liability coverage, trade credit insurance, cyber insurance and claims management.
