Basware has signed a binding agreement to acquire Trustpair to integrate specialised payment fraud prevention directly into Basware’s Invoice Lifecycle Management portfolio.

By combining operations, the unified platform aims to verify both the legitimacy and approval of an invoice via Basware alongside guaranteed payment destination security via Trustpair, ensuring funds reach the intended supplier.

Following the close of the transaction, Trustpair will maintain its independent operations and go-to-market strategy as a subsidiary of Basware. Existing customers will retain their current workflows and service providers without interruption, preserving Trustpair’s open ecosystem model.

Concurrently, Trustpair’s validation engine will be integrated into Basware’s broader suite to advance the corporate objective of the Perfect Invoice defined by complete invoice authenticity coupled with rigorous payment validation.

“Trustpair will continue to operate with the same team, platform, and commitment to our customers and partners across the finance environments they already use. Basware’s reach and resources will help us accelerate beyond what we could have achieved alone,” said Baptiste Collot, co-founder and CEO at Trustpair.

The union leverages combined intelligence networks spanning 2.5 billion invoices and 20 million suppliers, enhancing Trustpair’s predictive validation models while providing expanded distribution channels across global markets.

The proposed acquisition will also build on Basware’s 2023–2025 acquisitions of Glantus, AP Matching, and Redmap. It will extend Basware’s Invoice Lifecycle Management, complementing the market-leading invoice fraud and duplicate-detection capabilities already built into the platform.

The transaction is expected to complete later in 2026. Trustpair’s existing investors and shareholders, including Axeleo Capital, Breega and Tikehau Capital, will also continue to support the company’s next phase of growth.
