Cross-border payments platform PayGlocal has obtained Money Services Business (MSB) registration with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) in the United States.

“Our FinCEN registration is an important first step in building a stronger international foundation for PayGlocal and in supporting businesses as they expand into the US and other global markets,” said Prachi Dharani, co-founder and CEO of PayGlocal. “We are focused on making international payments simpler, more reliable, and more accessible for businesses operating across borders.”

The expansion aligns with a shift in India’s export landscape toward services and digital commerce. Technology exports projects to deliver approximately $246 billion (INR 23.24 lakh crore) in FY26, while the government targets a scale-up of e-commerce exports from current estimates of $4 billion to $5 billion up to $300 billion by 2030. The U.S. remains the anchor market for this growth, representing 54.1% of India’s software services exports in FY24.

The platform currently equips Indian merchants to accept international payments via cards, alternative local payment methods, and multi-currency accounts, streamlining compliance and cross-border settlements.

As part of its multi-country strategy, PayGlocal’s application for a license in India’s GIFT City is currently underway, with further international regulatory expansions planned to support Indian enterprises globally.

The registration provides the regulatory green light for PayGlocal to operate within the U.S. market as it scales its foundational banking, compliance, and payments infrastructure. This coincides with bilateral trade metrics, with U.S.-India goods and services commerce hitting $239.6 billion (INR 22.64 lakh crore) in 2025, and the U.S. economy accounting for nearly 26% of global nominal GDP in 2026.

PayGlocal is building on this base to support Indian businesses that are increasingly looking beyond India for customers, revenue, and growth. The company’s platform currently enables businesses to accept international payments across cards, local payment methods, and multi-currency accounts while managing the compliance and settlement requirements that come with cross-border commerce.
