Pan-European wealth technology provider Objectway has entered into exclusive negotiations to acquire French capital markets software specialist SLIB from BNP Paribas and Natixis, as it looks to expand its presence in France and broaden its investment services offering.

Luigi Marciano, Founder and Group CEO of Objectway, said: “This acquisition project reflects our long-term strategy to broaden our expertise, strengthen our pan-European presence and help clients navigate increasing complexity while creating the foundations for sustainable growth.”

The proposed transaction has remained subject to regulatory approvals and employee consultation processes and is expected to close by 31 December 2026.

The acquisition has strengthened Objectway’s expansion strategy by extending its direct footprint into France, complementing its existing operations across Italy, Germany, Switzerland, the Benelux region and the UK. It has also expanded the firm’s capabilities beyond wealth management, private banking and asset management into capital markets technology.

Alain Pochet, Chairman of SLIB, said: “Objectway shares our commitment to long-term relationships and technical excellence, and I am confident this combination will accelerate our growth ambitions.”

Founded in 1988, SLIB has developed software for the capital markets sector, offering solutions for securities processing, retail brokerage and risk management. The company has served around 30 financial institutions through more than 140 employees based in Paris, Lyon and Lisbon.

Objectway said the acquisition has added front-to-back securities processing, clearing, settlement and risk management capabilities to its platform. It has also broadened the company’s client base to include major European asset servicers, broker-dealers and banks while strengthening relationships with shared clients, including BNP Paribas.

Following completion, Alain Pochet and SLIB CEO Philippe Ruault have remained with the business to support its integration and ensure continuity for employees, clients and partners.
