Aurora FundAdmin Limited (Aurora) has partnered with Avaloq to launch its new fund administration business in Dubai. The firm will implement Avaloq’s platform to establish a scalable operating model that automates and standardises key processes, improves operational efficiency and supports its expansion across the region.

Headquartered in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and regulated by the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA), Aurora was established to meet growing demand for institutional-grade fund administration services in the Gulf. As a dedicated fund administration brand within BTA Group, Aurora provides governance-led services to institutional clients, including fund accounting, investor services, financial reporting and regulatory support.

Under the partnership, Avaloq will serve as Aurora’s core system for fund administration, providing a unified platform for standardised and automated processes.

The platform supports fund accounting, automated net asset value (NAV) calculation and validation, real-time transaction booking, data management, earnings booking and income processing. It also provides dashboards for monitoring individual and multiple funds.

Avaloq’s open architecture will allow Aurora to integrate third-party providers, including custodians and market data vendors, while accessing additional services through a single operating environment.

As Aurora expands across the Gulf and other markets, Avaloq’s multi-entity, single-instance architecture will allow the firm to launch new entities and enter additional markets using a single platform. This is intended to support growth without duplicating operational resources.

Rohit D’Souza, SEO and Board Member, Aurora FundAdmin Limited, said: “With the launch of Aurora FundAdmin Limited, we are setting a new standard in fund administration for institutional investors. We want to establish a strong operational foundation from the outset, and the Avaloq platform provides the level of automation, control and data consistency we need to run our business efficiently.”

Akash Anand, Managing Director, Middle East, Africa and India at Avaloq, said: “We are proud to have been selected by Aurora FundAdmin Limited as the core system for its fund administration business. This builds on our existing partnership with its group company, BTA Finance Limited, and reflects our experience supporting financial institutions in the Middle East.”
