London-based data automation provider Xceptor has introduced a pre-packaged version of its Tax on SaaS solution alongside a new compliance module designed to support Germany’s upcoming digital tax reporting requirements as financial institutions prepare for tightening regulatory obligations.

The pre-configured deployment option for Xceptor Tax on SaaS is aimed at accelerating implementation and reducing the operational and resource burden typically associated with tax automation projects. The offering is designed to help asset managers, custodians, and investment banks scale tax operations more quickly while maintaining compliance amid evolving regulatory frameworks.

In parallel, the company has launched a MiKaDiv module to support compliance with Germany’s new digital tax reporting regime, which will come into effect on 1 January 2027. The module enables enhanced data collection, validation, and processing and includes reporting and distribution capabilities for submissions to the German tax authority or designated intermediaries. It also automates the sourcing of beneficial ownership data, transaction information, and supporting documentation while identifying and managing data discrepancies and exceptions.

The development reflects growing industry demand for automated, standardised tax processes as authorities across Europe move toward real-time and digital reporting models. Firms are increasingly seeking cloud-based solutions that can handle complex data requirements, improve auditability, and reduce operational risk.

“Tax operations have long been hampered by manual processes, regulatory complexity, and inconsistent documentation,” said Paul Duffy, Senior Product Manager for Xceptor Tax at Xceptor. “Xceptor Tax combines advanced data automation with AI-powered document intelligence to set the gold standard for withholding tax processes. Now, more institutions can automate at scale, reduce risk, and respond faster to market and regulatory change, all with the flexibility and resilience of SaaS.”

Built on the company’s enterprise data automation platform, Xceptor Tax supports end-to-end operational tax processes, including documentation management, relief at source, reclaim workflows and regulatory reporting. The addition of a pre-packaged SaaS model and targeted regulatory modules signals a broader shift in the capital markets sector toward faster deployment cycles and configurable compliance solutions as regulatory complexity continues to rise.
