The enhanced agreement will expand the companies’ collaborative efforts beyond Latin America into Africa and Asia-Pacific (APAC).

It will offer customers access to dLocal’s over 900 alternative payment methods (APMs) and the benefits of Spreedly’s vast payment ecosystem.

This partnership offers merchants and platforms access to dLocal’s comprehensive payment network across emerging markets. It allows them to accept credit and debit cards, bank transfers, cash payments, instant payments (such as PIX and UPI), and wallets.

Importantly, Spreedly clients can instantly tap into these markets through their existing Spreedly integration. This renewed partnership will focus on enabling Spreedly customers to enhance capabilities and coverage in Africa and APAC, where dLocal has a strong payment presence.

“Through our partnership with Spreedly, we provide their customers with seamless access to our payment solutions in Latin America, Africa, and APAC,” said Horacio Raviolo, Head of Commercial Partnerships at dLocal. “By streamlining payment processes, we enable Spreedly’s customers to offer local payment options with minimal effort. We are excited to strengthen this collaboration and help Spreedly gain further traction in these regions by offering the payment methods that consumers prefer.”

“We are excited to deepen our partnership with dLocal, which allows us to serve our clients by providing access to a wider range of local payment options in emerging markets,” said Peter Dougherty, president at Spreedly. “dLocal plays a crucial role in connecting our clients to critical markets in Latin America, Africa, and APAC. With this enhanced collaboration, we are positioned to simplify the complexities of global payments, offering our clients greater coverage and flexibility without requiring additional effort on their part. By leveraging the Spreedly ecosystem, we bridge the gap between our customers and emerging markets, facilitating their growth and scalability.”
