Navro gains Texas licence to support cross-border payments
By Divya Shah
Why it matters: The licence strengthens Navro’s regulatory footprint in North America, supporting compliant cross-border payments, global payroll services and faster alternatives to traditional correspondent banking networks.
Navro, the London-based FinTech specialising in payments curation, secured a Money Transmitter Licence (MTL) from the Texas Department of Banking, strengthening its expansion across North America.
The latest licence adds to Navro’s growing US regulatory footprint, with the company already holding money transmitter licences in Delaware, Washington, D.C. and Florida.
The Texas licence enables Navro to legally process payments and facilitate remittances for consumers and businesses across the state. It also provides companies with complex payment requirements, including international payroll and large-scale money disbursements, with a compliant route into one of the largest markets in the US.
Navro’s payments curation platform is designed to address the high costs and slow settlement times often associated with traditional cross-border payment methods. The company provides access to a curated network of payment services through a single platform, API and contract, helping businesses simplify international money movement.
The company has gained traction in sectors such as payroll and pension services. In recent months, Navro onboarded clients including Multiplier, which uses its global payments infrastructure across more than 160 countries, and Strada, which partnered with Navro to enhance end-to-end global payroll capabilities through integrated payments.
Aran Brown, CEO of Navro, said, “With this licence, we can extend the benefits of Navro’s payments curation platform, simplicity, speed and lower costs, to more businesses managing complex cross-border requirements.”
Beyond the US, Navro also holds a Foreign Money Services Business (FMSB) registration in Canada, further supporting its international growth strategy.
The Texas approval marks another step in the company’s effort to expand regulated payment infrastructure across North America while helping businesses reduce complexity in cross-border transactions and global payroll operations.
