Ziglu, personal money app, crowdfunding, FinTech, Bitcoin, digitalCryptocurrency challenger Ziglu today has made Tezos’ native digital coin tez (XTZ) available to its users. Customers can make peer-to-peer payments across all currencies, both digital and traditional, and make payments to any UK account as well as being able to spend from their GBP account with the Ziglu Mastercard debit card. With the addition of Tezos, users can access five cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ether and Litecoin.

Mark Hipperson, Ziglu founder and Chief Executive Officer said, “It is important to us that our customers can contribute, tell us what features they want and be involved in the future development of Ziglu. We opened a vote to our community, offering four cryptocurrencies and they overwhelmingly selected Tezos. Tezos is an exciting choice for us as it is definitively open and community-driven, which aligns strongly with our core values of inclusion and accessibility for all.”

Tezos is a decentralised, open-source blockchain network (similar to Ethereum) that can execute peer-to-peer transactions and supports dApps using smart contracts.

Last year, Ziglu launched peer-to-peer payments for all currencies across the Ziglu app. P2P payments allow the transfer of funds between two parties, enabling Ziglu customers to instantly send or receive any currency from any contact within the challenger’s community. The company recently became a full FCA authorised Electronic Money Institution.

According to Ziglu, 100% of its customers’ total digital assets are insured against cyber-attacks, up to the value of £50,000 and fiat currencies are safeguarded in a segregated account. Ziglu stated that its peer-to-peer payments offering aims to secure personal information and allows users to instantly and effortlessly exchange and send their fiat and digital currencies and monitor their balances in real-time.
