Worldline releases new unified payment solution for EV charging

Worldline logoWorldline today announced the release of a new unified payment solution in a bid to allow consumers in Europe to pay for electric vehicle (EV) charging quickly. The company’s Easy EV solution, suitable for both big infrastructure or as a one-stop-shop for smaller players, aims to address the needs of both EV charging geographies and client business models.

Payments can be taken on four different card readers with both touchscreen and press-button operation and includes simplified acquiring coverage over Europe. The solution will be rolled out to infrastructure owners, charging point operations, electric mobility providers and EV charger manufacturers across the continent to help supercharge their businesses.

Radu-Vasile Pop, Global Head of Self-Service Verticals, Parking & EV-Charging at Worldline said, “As the world looks to reduce vehicle emissions, our goal is to address all the payment challenges of EV charging in Europe with a simple, smooth and secure customer experience together with a fast & flexible payment process for operators and consumers alike. Our WL Easy EV payment solution combines the best of unattended and online/in-app payments to truly electrify journeys.”

Recently, Worldline, through its Ingenico brand, announced the launch of its POS AXIUM platform. The AXIUM platform aims to offer a base to boost consumer experience and integration of business applications with payments. AXIUM platform enables payment stakeholders to create better experiences along with three new devices DX 8000 EX 8000 and EX6000. Customers will now be able to leverage Ingenico’s Android Competence Center, which offers a network of 350 + Android experts, with expertise advice sharpen to meet local and international payment standards.

equensWorldline, a subsidiary of Worldline, also announced that clients of the Belgian bank insurer KBC can now execute via the first co-badged wearable in the world. The development will allow users to make payments via multiple payment schemes with various types of devices.
