Walmart has announced that the multinational retail corporation has partnered with Paymentus, an eBilling and ePayment platform to modernize how bills are paid in Walmart stores and in the Walmart app. As part of the partnership, Walmart has also joined the Paymentus Instant Payment Network.

Paymentus is trusted by businesses to power customer interaction management, bill presentment and payments through digital wallet, web, mobile, IVR, text, email, chat, voice assistant, point of sale and agent-assisted channels. The company’s fully unified platform offers interaction and payment options for every preference and leverages artificial intelligence (AI) to improve interaction quality, maximize uptime and reduce fraud for businesses around the globe.

“We are excited to be the leading force behind the paradigm shift in how consumers and business interact. Our partnership with Walmart further cements Paymentus as the future-proof provider of simplified bill pay experiences for consumers and a source of operational excellence for businesses,” said Dushyant Sharma, Paymentus President and CEO.

The joining of Walmart to the Instant Payment Network extends Paymentus’ reach to 140M U.S. consumers. Walmart is joining PayPal and Amazon as strategic network partners who all leverage Paymentus to enable bill payments across their ecosystems. As a result, businesses who utilize the Paymentus platform are able to efficiently serve customers regardless of where they prefer to interact and how they pay. Together, Walmart and Paymentus provide more payment options to help consumers receive funds faster for billing operations and revenue management.

Recently, Walmart & Green dot announced new features and benefits for MoneyCard.

Established since 2004, Paymentus is a premier provider of innovative, reliable, and secure electronic bill presentment and payment services. The firm partners with more than 1,500 clients across a variety of industries. The platform can be customized to serve the needs of billers of all sizes across the utilities, government, non-profit, mortgage, property management, homeowner associations, auto finance, and healthcare industries.
