Viamericas launches its open payment network in the Philippines
By Gloria Methri
Viamericas, a remittance and international money transfer provider, has launched its open payment network in the Philippines. This initiative offers an API that enables payers in the country to provide faster, more affordable, and secure cross-border transfers.
Financial institutions, payment service providers, and FinTechs can integrate with Viamericas’ API, allowing businesses of all sizes to expand their services while maintaining complete control over their customer experience.
The network enables customers in the U.S. and Canada to send money seamlessly to recipients in the Philippines, regardless of their financial service provider. By leveraging existing payment infrastructure and integrating multiple systems, it enhances accessibility and efficiency in international remittances.
“This open payment network marks a transformative step in our commitment to the Filipino-American and Filipino-Canadian community,” said Paul Dwyer, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Viamericas. “We have created an ecosystem where money can move freely and securely across borders, reaching recipients through their preferred financial channels.”
As one of the world’s largest remittance markets, the Philippines receives billions of dollars in international transfers annually. Viamericas’ open payment network makes it easier for families in the U.S. and Canada to send money home by reducing costs, accelerating transaction speeds, and expanding service reach.
Founded in 1999, Viamericas is a licensed money transmitter offering international money transfer services across the United States. The in-person services and online platform enable customers to send money safely, easily, and affordably 24/7 from the U.S. to over 80 countries. It helps families achieve their financial goals by providing international payment services at a great value.
