tuum Prisma, a regulated payment institution licensed by the Bank of Spain, has gone live on Tuum‘s next-generation core banking platform, marking a significant step in its transition to a fully SaaS-based infrastructure.

The move is aimed at enhancing Prisma’s scalability and supporting its global expansion strategy. The company, which provides payment and account services to businesses handling complex payment flows, has adopted Tuum’s modular platform with a focus on its Accounts and Payments capabilities tailored for Electronic Money Institutions (EMIs), Payment Service Providers (PSPs), and fintechs.

The implementation introduces a ready-to-deploy architecture that improves operational efficiency and regulatory compliance. Through direct integrations with SWIFT, SEPA, and CentroLINK, Prisma can now process payments without relying on third-party middleware, streamlining operations and reducing complexity.

Additionally, the platform includes integrated anti-money laundering (AML) capabilities through Hawk, strengthening Prisma’s compliance framework in line with evolving EU regulatory requirements, including DORA and ISO standards.

Jose Carbajosa, CEO of Prisma, said the transition was driven by the need to modernize core capabilities to support growth. He noted that Tuum’s modular architecture enables the company to handle complex payment flows while adapting quickly to regulatory changes.

From Tuum’s side, Miljan Stamenkovic, CRO, highlighted that the deployment replaces Prisma’s previous provider with a comprehensive, integrated setup, underscoring the platform’s ability to deliver full-scale infrastructure for European payment institutions.

By eliminating legacy infrastructure burdens, Prisma aims to improve unit economics and shift focus toward sustainable growth and customer value creation. The partnership reinforces Tuum’s position as a core banking provider for payment institutions seeking advanced payment orchestration and seamless system integration.
