Tuum partners with Crown Agents Bank on banking infrastructure
By Milan Rojan
Tuum has partnered with Crown Agents Bank to support the development of modern banking infrastructure, combining the latter’s expertise in cross-border payments and emerging markets with Tuum’s cloud-native core banking platform.
The collaboration has brought together two financial technology capabilities focused on improving the infrastructure supporting banking and payment services. Tuum has provided an API-first, SaaS-based core banking platform designed to support banks, FinTechs and other financial service providers with modular banking capabilities.
Crown Agents Bank has focused on delivering banking and payment services across emerging markets, with cross-border payments forming a key part of its offering. The bank has also been expanding its technology partnerships to strengthen payment connectivity and financial infrastructure in international markets.
Through the partnership, the companies have aimed to support greater agility and operational efficiency for financial institutions. Tuum’s cloud-native architecture has been designed to enable institutions to integrate banking capabilities through APIs and add modules as their requirements have evolved.
The collaboration has also highlighted the continued shift towards cloud-based and modular core banking infrastructure as financial institutions have sought to modernise legacy systems and respond more quickly to changing customer and market requirements.
For Crown Agents Bank, the partnership has complemented its focus on cross-border financial services and emerging markets. For Tuum, it has represented a further application of its core banking technology within an institution operating across international financial markets.
The companies have stated that the collaboration will focus on delivering scalable technology and supporting innovation for customers and partners. The partnership has reflected a broader trend in financial services, where banks and FinTech providers have increasingly combined specialised payment capabilities with modern core banking infrastructure to improve the delivery of financial services across markets.
