Telpay acquires Notch to expand cash flow platform
By Milan Rojan
Telpay has acquired accounts receivable automation provider Notch Financial, expanding its business payments platform with invoicing, payment collection and cash flow management capabilities for Canadian businesses.
Mark Loewen, President of Telpay, said: “Businesses don’t lose sleep over how payments are processed—they worry about whether they’ll have the cash they need when they need it.This acquisition strengthens our ability to help customers manage the money coming in, alongside the money going out, through a single platform.”
The acquisition has strengthened Telpay’s strategy to provide an end-to-end platform that manages both outgoing and incoming business payments. While the company has traditionally focused on supplier payments, payroll and approval workflows, the addition of Notch’s technology has extended its offering to include accounts receivable automation, digital invoicing, payment collection and order management.
The combined platform has been designed to help businesses improve cash flow visibility, accelerate customer payments and simplify financial operations through a single integrated solution.
Jordan Huck, Chief Executive Officer of Notch, said: “Our goal has always been to help Canadian businesses simplify accounts receivable so they can focus on running and growing their business.”
The transaction has reflected growing demand for unified financial management platforms as businesses seek to automate payment processes and gain greater control over working capital. By combining accounts payable and accounts receivable capabilities, Telpay aims to provide customers with a more comprehensive view of cash movement across their organisations.
The acquisition has highlighted continued consolidation within the business payments sector as FinTech providers expand beyond individual payment functions to offer integrated platforms that combine payments, invoicing, collections and cash flow management for small and medium-sized businesses.
