TBX and SBM Bank (India) strengthen escrow management through digital platform
By Puja Sharma

TBX (formerly TransBnk) has announced a collaboration with SBM Bank (India) to enable a structured digital platform to manage the complete escrow lifecycle.
The initiative is designed to address the growing complexity of escrow arrangements across sectors such as real estate, trade, and payments, where multiple stakeholders, customised deal structures, and stringent compliance requirements are common.
According to TBX, escrow is no longer a one-size-fits-all process. Different industries require varying levels of governance, approval workflows, fund allocation mechanisms, and reporting standards. Through this partnership, SBM Bank (India) is leveraging TBX’s technology platform to provide clients with a more structured and transparent escrow management experience.
The platform offers end-to-end escrow lifecycle management with approval-led controls, audit-ready operations, and configurable workflows tailored to diverse business requirements. It also provides real-time visibility into transactions and fund movements, helping corporates monitor escrow arrangements more effectively while ensuring compliance and operational control.
TBX’s Escrow Hub platform has been developed to automate and standardise escrow operations for banks and financial institutions. Key capabilities include centralised escrow management, automated fund allocation, real-time monitoring, customizable workflow structures, role-based access controls, and regulatory compliance features. The solution is designed to integrate with banking systems through APIs, enabling seamless digital operations and reporting.
The collaboration aims to deliver faster deal execution, enhanced governance, and improved operational efficiency for corporate clients. By digitising traditionally manual escrow processes, the platform helps reduce administrative complexity while providing greater transparency and oversight throughout the transaction journey.
The announcement reflects a broader trend in the banking industry toward technology-driven transaction banking solutions. As organisations increasingly seek automated and compliant ways to manage complex financial arrangements, partnerships between banks and fintech infrastructure providers such as TBX are becoming key enablers of modern corporate banking services.
