Target Group Launches AI Champion Programme
By Milan Rojan
Target Group has launched an AI Champion programme as the financial services technology provider looks to support responsible artificial intelligence adoption across its workforce.
The new initiative has brought together employees from different parts of the business to identify practical AI applications, test tools and workflows, and share knowledge across teams. The programme was designed to encourage responsible use of AI while helping employees build confidence in applying the technology to everyday tasks.
Emma-Jane Williams, Learning and Development Partner at Target Group, said: “Successful AI adoption isn’t just about technology. It’s about giving people the confidence, skills and support to use it effectively in their everyday work.”
Target has said its AI Champions will gather feedback from colleagues and share practical learnings as the programme develops. The company has also highlighted potential benefits including improved efficiency, quality and streamlined processes.
The initiative has built on Target’s existing AI work, which has included proofs of concept involving virtual assistants and chatbots for internal HR enquiries. The company has subsequently expanded its use of AI and machine learning across customer-facing operations.
Within its contact centre solution, Target has used AI to summarise customer interactions, monitor and score engagements, and provide live guidance to agents.
Melanie Spencer, Growth Director at Target Group, said: “Our AI philosophy has always been about enhancing the human touch, harnessing this powerful technology to support the work of our talented colleagues and improve service.”
Target has said the programme will continue to evolve throughout the year, with a focus on identifying further opportunities to improve employee experience, operational efficiency and client services.
The company has operated across banking, financial services and insurance for nearly five decades and has said its FinTech platform has managed more than $28 billion in assets.
