Global FinTech SumUp has partnered with accounting software platform Xero to enable its merchant customers to sync their sales history to Xero at no additional cost.
SumUp and Xero have launched products and services for the global small business community, serving millions of merchants worldwide. For some time, there has been an alignment in values and crossover in merchants as each company was founded to simplify business and ease the entrepreneurial journey.
By partnering, SumUp and Xero are providing merchants with more features at zero additional cost rather than having merchants choose one company over the other.
Accounting and bookkeeping have long been pain points for UK SMBs. Viewed as arduous and unappealing tasks, financial matters can often take a backseat to other areas of business when an entrepreneur is building their company. In response to this need, with a large addressable market, companies like SumUp and Xero have launched tech solutions which alleviate these pressures for SMBs.
Now, existing merchants can sync their accounts to Xero and SumUp One subscribers—those enrolled in SumUp’s flexible subscription plan—can access Xero with an exclusive offer: 90% off their first six months. This provides a cost-effective solution for managing their business finances.
Nataliia Nyshchenko, Head of Partner Growth at SumUp, said, “Simplifying business for merchants lies at the heart of everything we do at SumUp. In Xero, we have a partner with a similar set of values, and by coming together, we can deliver efficiencies for our merchants. We’re excited to launch the partnership and see how it benefits merchants.”
Kate Hayward, UK Country Manager, Xero, added, “SumUp provides a critical service to small businesses, so we are delighted to provide its customers with this integration. It will give them a much more streamlined experience.”
