Royal Business Bank Expands Northern California Lending
By Milan Rojan
Royal Business Bank has expanded its commercial banking operations in Northern California with the appointment of a new regional leadership team and the establishment of a loan production office in the San Francisco Bay Area, reinforcing its strategy to strengthen lending capabilities and deepen relationships with small and mid-sized businesses.
The expansion is aimed at increasing the bank’s commercial banking presence in one of the largest Asian American business communities in the United States. The newly established office will focus on delivering lending solutions and financial services to commercial clients while supporting the bank’s broader regional growth strategy.
The bank has appointed John Curtis as Executive Vice President and Market President for Northern California. He will lead the development and execution of commercial banking initiatives across the region, overseeing client acquisition, relationship management and business growth.
Johnny Lee, President and Chief Executive Officer, RBB Bancorp, said: “We are excited to establish a physical presence in the San Francisco Bay Area, which has one of the largest Asian American communities in the United States. John’s leadership and knowledge of the Northern California markets will be key as we continue growing our commercial banking business.”
The move has reflected the bank’s continued focus on expanding its commercial lending footprint while enhancing support for business customers through local expertise and relationship-led banking.
Headquartered in Los Angeles, Royal Business Bank operates across multiple US states, providing commercial and consumer banking services, including business lending, trade finance, mobile banking and wealth management. The Northern California expansion is expected to strengthen the bank’s regional presence and support its long-term growth strategy within the commercial banking sector.
