Reliance Bank has selected Temenos SaaS solutions as part of a broader digital transformation programme aimed at modernising its banking infrastructure and supporting future growth.

The UK-based bank will replace legacy systems with Temenos’ cloud-based core banking, digital banking and payments platforms. The migration is intended to improve operational efficiency, strengthen customer experience capabilities and create a more scalable digital foundation for the bank’s long-term expansion plans.

Mark Yamin-Ali, Managing Director, Europe, Temenos, said, “We’re proud to partner with Reliance Bank on this strategic transformation, and support the bank’s mission to deliver a positive societal impact. With its flexible, cloud-native architecture, broad functionality and pre-configured capabilities for the UK market, Temenos SaaS will help Reliance Bank to meet the needs of its specialist customer base with agility and speed.”

The deployment will use Temenos’ UK Model Bank framework, which includes pre-configured capabilities tailored to the UK market. The approach is designed to help reduce implementation complexity while enabling faster product development and lowering the need for extensive customisation.

Nikki Fenton, CEO, Reliance Bank, commented, “Implementing Temenos SaaS is a key element of Reliance Bank’s digital transformation strategy, providing a resilient, modern infrastructure that will support our growth plans. With Temenos, we’ll be able to scale efficiently and launch customer-centric digital solutions quickly, helping us to grow our deposit base and provide more financial support to charitable and ethical institutions.”

Reliance Bank will also use Temenos’ API-based architecture to support integration with fintech partners and third-party services, reflecting a wider industry shift toward open and modular banking infrastructure. Banks across the UK and Europe have increasingly been moving core systems to cloud-native platforms to improve agility, simplify maintenance and accelerate digital product delivery.

The SaaS model will allow ongoing updates, support and maintenance to be managed by Temenos, enabling Reliance Bank to focus more directly on customer services and its ethical banking strategy. The bank provides savings accounts, current accounts and lending products for individuals, charities and SMEs, with a focus on socially responsible and community-oriented finance.
