Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) has launched Tawrid Company for Financing Solutions, a digital platform designed to provide supply chain financing products to businesses.

The company has secured approval from the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) to operate within its regulatory sandbox environment.

The launch supports PIF’s broader strategy to strengthen the financial services sector, identified as one of the key enablers within the sovereign wealth fund’s 2026-2030 roadmap.

Sultan Alsheikh, Head of Financial Institutions in MENA Investments at PIF, said, “Tawrid will make Saudi supply chains stronger and more resilient by further enabling companies to access financing and improve their liquidity management. Its supply-chain financing products will enable businesses to operate with greater agility and efficiency, creating opportunities for the Saudi private sector in particular.”

Tawrid aims to enhance access to financing for businesses, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), by connecting buyers, suppliers and financial institutions through a digital platform.

The solution offers supply chain finance products, including early payment options against approved invoices, helping businesses improve liquidity, optimise working capital and support growth initiatives.

Through its platform, Tawrid will enable local banks to engage directly with registered suppliers, facilitating access to funding while supporting the digitalisation of trade and financial services in Saudi Arabia.

The initiative is also aligned with PIF’s objective of increasing private sector participation across its projects and portfolio companies.

The investment builds on its ongoing efforts to strengthen the resilience and efficiency of Saudi supply chains while creating greater opportunities for local suppliers and businesses.

Tawrid has already commenced operations and signed binding agreements with several local financial institutions and corporates, including Gulf International Bank (GIB), Saudi National Bank (SNB), Banque Saudi Fransi (BSF), ROSHN Group and Nesma & Partners.
