UK wealth management firm Patronus Partners has selected WealthAi to deploy its AI operating system across its business, as firms in the sector have continued to explore artificial intelligence to improve operational efficiency and client service.

The deployment has integrated WealthAi’s platform across front, middle and back-office functions. Patronus has said the move has replaced a collection of disconnected legacy systems, including CRM, compliance and operational software, which have created duplication and administrative burden across the organisation.

Jeremy Steinson, Director at Patronus Partners, said, “Before adopting AI, we had a plethora of different systems, none of them talking to each other, all rather archaic, with limited intelligence, let alone artificial intelligence. Like most wealth management firms, it often felt as though we were spending most of our time handling admin when all we wanted was to get back to serving clients and ensuring best outcomes for those clients. What we wanted was a LLM agnostic provider who could provide a full AI overlay to our whole operation, in a secure and coherent way.”

Before selecting WealthAi, Patronus has spent 18 months evaluating artificial intelligence tools, including solutions from OpenAI, Gemini and Anthropic. The firm has said that while the technologies have demonstrated potential, integrating multiple standalone tools has created challenges around consistency, compliance oversight and ongoing maintenance.

The implementation has formed part of Patronus’s growth strategy, with the firm aiming to reduce administrative workloads and improve operational capacity.

Jason Nabi, CEO of WealthAi, said, “Firms like Patronus have been experimenting with AI for the best part of two years, but where they struggle is in trying to bolt the latest AI tools onto one another, or onto legacy systems that were never designed to work together.”

He added: “What they actually need is an operating system that connects everything – front to back, across every workflow, with the compliance and governance controls built in from day one.”

The deployment has also provided Patronus with access to the WealthAi Marketplace, which has included research and data providers as well as connectivity to more than 250 custodians and banks.
