Neobank Tonik raises US$17 million in Pre-Series B funding

tonik, FinTech, Philippines, Singapore, virtual bank,Tonik, a neobank in the Philippines, recently announced that it raised US$17M in Pre-Series B funding. The round comes on the heels of Tonik’s public launch in March 2021, which saw it secure over US$20M in retail deposits in under 1 month.

Led by Singapore’s iGlobe Partners, the round witnessed participation from existing shareholders Sequoia India, Altara Ventures, and Insignia Venture Partners. It also had new investors Citius, Baring Vostok Capital Partners, and multiple Philippine family offices.

We are delighted that so many Filipinos are taking advantage of our unique service and attractive deposit rates, to enable them to dream big and save bigger,” shared Greg Krasnov, Tonik CEO and Founder. “The new funding will help us accelerate our growth, as well as invest aggressively in product development. In the course of the next 12 months, we plan to significantly broaden our stack of first-in-the-market digital financial products for our clients, especially strengthening our offer on payments and rolling out consumer loans.”

Tonik is on a mission to revolutionize the way money works with a new all-digital way of banking operating on a secure digital banking platform.
