Pismo, GrowVisa, Pismo, and Lunar have partnered to allow Lunar to handle Visa card payments using Pismo’s modern cloud-based system, helping the bank deliver faster and more flexible services to customers in Denmark, Sweden, and Norway.

This marks a significant advancement in Lunar’s journey toward redefining modern banking for over one million private and business customers across Denmark, Sweden, and Norway. By integrating with Pismo’s advanced, cloud-native infrastructure, Lunar will gain enhanced agility in product development, faster time-to-market, and greater autonomy from legacy systems.

The Pismo platform empowers banks and FinTechs to develop and scale next-generation payment and banking solutions all from a single, flexible infrastructure. With capabilities spanning core banking, card issuing, payment processing, lending, digital wallets, and more, Pismo enables seamless operations regardless of geography, network, or currency. The platform’s network-agnostic architecture ensures compatibility with major global card networks, reinforcing Lunar’s commitment to borderless, customer-first innovation.

Claus Richter, Country Manager for Visa in Denmark, said, “Core banking and issuer processing are at the heart of digital transformation in financial services. With Pismo as part of our technology suite, we’re extending powerful, cloud-native capabilities to our partners. Lunar’s adoption of Pismo demonstrates their strong commitment to innovation and speed, and we’re proud to support them in transforming financial services across the Nordics.”

Ken Villlum Klausen, CEO and founder of Lunar, said, “Switching to Pismo means we can move faster and deliver better experiences to our users across the Nordics. It allows us to accelerate service delivery, enhance the way our users interact with payments, and reduce our dependency on legacy systems. This partnership gives us the flexibility to build and launch new products independently, driven by the speed, simplicity, and control we believe modern banking should offer.”

Vishal Dalal, CEO at Pismo, said, “Speed is a key market differentiator. By adopting Pismo to process its Visa cards, Lunar will deliver a secure, seamless, and cost-effective credit card experience, while also gaining the flexibility to develop innovative features that enhance customer engagement and set the brand apart.”
