This expansion builds on last year’s launch in France, Italy, and Spain, where already millions of customers embraced Klarna’s flexible payment solutions.

This partnership marks a significant milestone for Klarna, as Zalando serves more than 50 million active customers across 25 markets. With the option of ‘Pay in 3’ Zalando shoppers can split payments into three interest-free installments, enjoy greater flexibility, and try on items before fully committing—all with no upfront or additional costs.

“Our deepening partnership with Zalando reinforces Klarna’s mission to be present everywhere, at every checkout,” said Nicole Defren, Head of Europe at Klarna. “Klarna is at the forefront of scaling innovative payment solutions across multiple markets seamlessly, and this collaboration with Zalando is a perfect example of how we empower merchants to activate innovative payment solutions simultaneously in multiple regions.”

“At Zalando, we are committed to providing our customers with a seamless and locally relevant shopping experience,” adds Kai-Uwe Mokros, Managing Director at Zalando Payments. “Now more than ever, convenience, flexibility and conscious spending are key priorities for customers. We are very happy to extend our partnership with Klarna by launching their ‘Pay in 3′ option in additional markets. This collaboration increases our customers’ payment flexibility and allows them to choose a solution that best suits their individual needs and preferences.

With 85 million active consumers and over 600,000 merchants, Klarna’s extensive network empowers partners like Zalando to connect with shoppers through more innovative, more flexible payment options. Recently expanded partnerships with payment service providers, digital wallet providers, and global merchants are driving the network growth further, making Klarna’s payment solutions available whenever and wherever consumers shop and pay.
