IppoPay appoints Shabareesh Suresh as its General Counsel

IppoPayIppoPay, a FinTech start-up providing payment infrastructure to small businesses in Tier-2 and 3 cities, and rural areas, announced the appointment of Shabareesh Suresh as its General Counsel. The appointment will further strengthen the leadership team at IppoPay.

Shabareesh Suresh is a seasoned legal professional with close to 10 years of experience across leading law firms including, AZB & Partners and Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas. Shabareesh brings in depth understanding of legal, compliance, regulatory, transactional, and structuring aspects of multiple sectors, including banking, information technology, manufacturing, e-commerce, real estate, retail, healthcare, insurance, and education.

Shabareesh has actively represented some of India’s biggest FinTech, e-commerce, retail entities, and start-ups and has executed various large and complex mergers and acquisitions, including private equity, venture capital investments, joint venture collaboration, and outsourcing requirements. He has also been advising various start-ups and investors both private equity and venture capital, on their investments in India. He has been an advisor to reputed funds since its early days, leading their fundraising work and acquisitions. Additionally, Shabareesh recently represented a few players in the payments industry on their respective acquisitions, investments, commercial arrangements, and regulatory aspects.
