iBanFirst appoints former Euronext exec Said Layadi as the new CTO

ibanfirstiBanFirst today announced the appointment of Said Layadi as the new Chief Technology Officer. The new CTO is expected to further the company’s international expansion strategy. Layadi will be responsible for implementing technologies for enhancing the capabilities of the company’s online platform and technologies.

Said Layadi, Chief Technology Officer, iBanFirst said, “I’m delighted to join iBanFirst at this exciting time. The role is a perfect fit for me, combining my two passions of international payments and technological innovation to transform the company’s operations.”

Layadi previously worked as Head of Application Engineering and Integration for Euronext. He then joined Ingenico Group as CTO, working on its leadership framework. He has around two decades of experience in financial technology management.

In June, iBanFirst announced its latest Series C funding round worth €21 million. The funding round saw the participation of venture capital funds Elaia and Bpifrance. This brings the total funds secured by the payment FinTech to €46 million since 2013. The company has stated that the new capital will allow to bring about changes in the payment services market for SMEs and mid-tier companies.
