EML expands its sports-related digital footprint through REPX’s exclusive partnership with the Italian football team AS Roma.

EML payments has backed REPX’s innovative digital and physical payment product for fans in Europe of the Italian Serie A TIM soccer team, AS Roma.  The General Purpose Reloadable (GPR) virtual and physical cards for the team’s fanbase across Europe set the scene for a host of exclusive experiences for cardholders with behind-the-scenes privilege experiences.

Recent engagement between football and FinTech are:

Astropay the global online payment solution, has strengthened its partnership with Burnley Football Club by becoming Burnley FC Women’s front-of-shirt sponsor for the remainder of the 2021/22 season and sponsoring the newly installed dugouts at Turf Moor.

The strategic partnership was established at the beginning of the 2021 Premier League campaign, with AstroPay becoming Burnley FC’s official sleeve sponsor. The new partnership with the women’s team further strengthens the company’s positive relationship with the club.

FinTech Sokin announced that it has been selected by Everton Football Club as their Official Global Payments Partner. The multi-year agreement sees Sokin further boost the Blues’ growing partnership portfolio. FinTech’s partnership with Everton will see them strategically support the club’s FX and payments needs through its global platform.

Laybuy, a Buy Now, Pay Later provider announced a partnership with Manchester United to offer a new and interest-free payment option to help customers buy merchandise and show support for the club. Laybuy, via collaboration, aims to make football more accessible to fans across the UK.

Digital payments company Skrill announced that Leeds United has selected it as its Official Partner. Skrill, part of the payments platform Paysafe,  is also set to become a live payments option on Leeds United’s international online store. The firm, Skrill stated that the new sponsorship supports its activity in the UK and promote its popular services such as the Skrill prepaid card, the option to buy and sell cryptocurrencies, and Skrill Money Transfer, which allows people to send money abroad at competitive rates.
