Ohpen, de Volksbank, SaaS Core Banking, FinTech, NetherlandsOhpen, the SaaS core banking platform for financial institutions,  has signed a multi-year BPO partnership renewal with Dutch retail bank de Volksbank.

This move extends the two companies’ existing agreement, initially signed in 2016, when de Volksbank selected Ohpen’s BPO capabilities with the use of its platform for investment operations. In 2021, the partnership was extended with Ohpen’s SaaS solution to encompass de Volksbank’s consumer lending offering.

To date, de Volksbank’s trust in Ohpen’s BPO service and deployment of Ohpen’s SaaS core banking platform has enabled the financial institution to build, deploy, and measure the impact of innovative new tools and products, such as sustainable investments. This enables the bank to focus on and deepen in building its customer relationships.

The renewed agreement will see Ohpen continue to deliver BPO services for investments and its core banking platform for consumer loans to de Volksbank until at least 2030.

Joyce van der Est, Director of Banking at De Volksbank, said, “Extending our contract with Ohpen was an easy decision. Thanks to the excellent BPO services, the reliable platform and the team of dedicated professionals, de Volksbank can focus on the customer relationship. We look forward to continuing our fruitful relationship.”

Matthijs Aler, CEO at Ohpen, added, “After nearly a decade of serving de Volksbank with our core banking platform, we are delighted to be extending our contract further. We are proud that de Volksbank continues to put its trust in our team and platform, which we will continue to evolve to ensure it always enables agility and innovation.”
