DBS Bank rolls out world’s first UnionPay Multi-Currency Diamond Debit Card

DBS Bank, Union Pay International, FinTech News, FinTech Solutions, Financial technology, Payments Solutions, Card Payments, Diamond Card, Multicurrency Card, Debit Card, Cross Border Transactions,  Hong Kong, DBS Bank and UnionPay International have announced the launch of the world’s first UnionPay Multi-Currency Diamond debit card. This card supports direct payments in 14 currencies, including HKD, RMB, AUD, CAD, DKK, JPY, NZD, NOK, SGD, SEK, CHF, GBP, USD, and EUR, aiming to significantly enhance the cross-border payment experience.

The physical card is crafted from 100% environmentally friendly materials, reflecting DBS’s commitment to sustainability.

DBS Bank and UnionPay have been collaborating closely and extensively in the Greater Bay Area (GBA) and the ASEAN regions over the years to provide services for customers in overseas markets. This partnership introduces a cross-border financial service tailored for Hong Kong and Macau residents. Additionally, it offers a suite of exclusive privileges and premium benefits within the GBA.

As a global leader in digital banking, DBS Bank introduced the UnionPay Multi-Currency Diamond debit card, which integrates secured digital technology to elevate customer experiences.

The card offers cross-border payment services and optimises payment experiences for customers in the GBA and beyond. Key features include payment notifications, instant messaging, free travel insurance, shopping insurance, and enhanced security measures to prevent fraud, ensuring a worry-free spending experience. The product is fully digitalised, allowing customers to apply online and use it immediately.
